Terra’s journey to become what we are today began 10 years ago, with a vision of high-level customer service and transparency. We have grown considerably in the last 5 years. Thanks to the great additions to our team, our legal services are now complemented in a multidisciplinary way.
Our main office is still located in Playas del Coco, but we also provide services for the Central Valley area, where we have created alliances with other firms to provide the best services to our clients.
Gabriela studied law with an emphasis on commercial law, international investments and commercial structures. Her clients are mostly foreign developers or investors, who seek different ways to secure their assets. The beginnings of her law career were in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where she grew up. After returning to Costa Rica in 2001, she continued her studies at the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho, from where she graduated and earned her law degree in 2006. Later, she studied for the Notary Specialty at the Universidad Latina, and since then, she has continued with different courses, keeping up with all the legal updates in Costa Rica. She is currently in charge of Terra Law and provides consulting services for various corporations in the Central Valley.
Real estate and corporate attorney. Expertise in condominiums, Zoning Plans and Maritime Zone regulations. In Commercial Law, she advises companies on everyday matters, as well as on the drafting, review and execution of commercial agreements, guarantee, investment, and administration trusts, as well as corporate structuring. Additionally, she provides consulting services in regulated markets.
Paula is an attorney with more than 12 years of national and international experience in commercial, real estate and business law. Her work experience has developed in Costa Rica and Switzerland, developing a multicultural understanding. She is a thoughtful listener who takes the time to understand what clients need and then executes on that vision. She specialized in English and French speaking clients.
Rosa has a law degree from the University of Costa Rica, graduating in 2014. In 2018, she studied a graduate degree in Notarial and Registry Law. She currently works as an attorney and notary public, with experience in litigation and active exercise of notarial duties.
Melissa has worked in different law firms for the last 12 years, 8 of which she has been part of the Terra Law team, initially as a legal assistant and for the last 3 years as a Closer. Melissa provides great support in real estate transactions, and a year ago she resumed her law degree, which she is about to finish.
Karina studied graphic design at the Universidad Creativa. Since then, she works freelance providing different services in this field. Four years ago, she decided to move to the province of Guanacaste, where she turned her life around. With more than 3 years of working at Terra Law, she has become a key player in our customer service, also collaborating in the administrative and design area, and managing our social networks.
Armando studied law at the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho where he graduated in 2019. The beginnings of his law career started in 2017, working in the Archivo Nacional as part of his university practice. After that, Armando started working in Vargas Abogados where he specialized in judicial recovery and Notary. Additionally, he focused on private law, taking charge of creating the Asociación de Ajedrez de Pérez Zeledón, registering national and international brands, preparing commercial contracts, rental contracts among other acts. He continued his studies with an emphasis on commercial law, attending congresses on this topic. He will be receiving his protocol as notary in 2024. Currently, Armando is pursuing a specialization in IT law/ legal tech/ computer law specialization at the Escuela Libre de Derecho.
Sharon finished her Bachelor degree in Law at the University of Costa Rica in 2021. She is currently finishing her Law degree at the same University, with an emphasis on Judge Training. She also has a Technician degree in Accounting and Auditing and another one in Occupational Health. She brings a dynamic attitude to the office and longs to continue specializing in the world of Law.
Valeria graduated in 2015 in Criminal Research and Organizational Security from the University College of Cartago. In 2014, she began her law studies at the University of Costa Rica. Since then, she has held various positions in the areas of customer service, organizational security and as a lawyer, with knowledge in the areas of litigation, employment law, real estate, commercial and corporate law.
Andrea has more than 6 years of experience in the legal area, both as a Legal Assistant and a Jr. Attorney. She is currently in the process of becoming a Notary Public. She has knowledge in Public Notary, Real Estate Business, Trademarks, Commercial Law - Corporate. She has a great command of the Spanish, English and French language.
He is one of the newest members of the Terra Law team. Deivy is studying at the School of Law at the University of San José, currently in his first year. He also, in 2022, earned a diploma as Accounting Technician at the Professional Technical College of Sardinal. He has extensive experience in customer service.
Graduated from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2007, where he obtained his law degree. Since the beginning of his professional life, he has specialized in Criminal Law and in the processing of lawsuit processes in other areas, such as labor, traffic accidents, and alimony. He has attended different seminars and courses given by the Bar Association, to keep up to date with new laws and regulations. He graduated as a Notary from La Salle University in 2017.
She studied accounting at UAM. She has more than 15 years of experience in accounting services and commercial activities. She specializes in different economic and traditional or simplified regime activities such as legal services, educators, doctors, restaurants, hotels, financial entities, construction services, commission agents, condominiums, among others.
